It's hard to believe that it's November already! Soon, it'll be Thanksgiving and then christmas! The older we get, the faster time goes by. There are times when I wish I could stop and "smell the roses."
Often, people ask me when am I going to move in? Honestly, I don't know! Hopefully soon before the snow comes. The "big" projects are done in and around the house. Basically, what's left is hooking up my new furnace to the air ducts/registers, order a carpet for the livingroom/stairways/office and have that installed, purchase a toilet and install that as well as the vanity and washer/dryer in the same room, create vents for the dryer and microwave, hook up my canned lights in my livingroom and do a housewrap (Tyvek) before the wetness does something to my wood. Eventually, I will have siding on it but would like to complete the 2nd floor first before doing vinyl siding work. Dad keeps saying I'll be in before Christmas. We'll see! It doesn't look like there's much left to do but it's time consuming.
This past weekend- what a mess! It had to be done though...most of my land was bulldozed to get rid of brush, stumps, and so forth. Now, it's more of a slope than having a drop-off at some places. I've had close calls overturning the riding mower and that would not be a pretty picture if it did happen! No more mowing for the year.. yay! The funny part was Randy decided to drive the mower back to my parents and put it away in the shed. As he was driving and I'm following him with the car and using the 4 way flashers, he looked at me and says I am running out of gas! As he drove pass the store, sure enough LUBECK's LAW, it stalled. I ran home to get gas- another situation of LUBECK's LAW- no gas left in any of the containers. Ahhhh... luckily, my neighbors offered some so he could make it home before it rained. There, he parked it and we headed to his parents for dinner and so forth....that was it.
I could write more.. but I am at work so I'll write more whenever I've got the time. :)
